Rossana La Verde and Simone Giai met at an exhibition organised by Cramum in Milan in 2022 and decided to collaborate.
Rossana La Verde uses a variety of materials and techniques that, together with bright colours and poems, recall dramatic childhood moments. Her installations want to give space to the silence of memory, trapping banal but eloquent moments.
Simone Giai, a fan of graffiti and analogue photography, in his practice uses cyanotype combined with natural elements to create works that are abstract scenarios where everything becomes a misterious dream.
The one for BriUp is a project in which the two artists investigate the theme of mourning and childhood through site-specific installations that give life to worlds within which something remains incomplete.
